Painting with Light

Light painting or light drawing is a cool technique. And not only is it cool and interesting but it's easy and fun. You need three essentials to create a light painting image. The first is a camera of course the two others is a tripod and a light source of some kind .Such as a wand or even a flashlight. To achieve you need your auto focus on and you need a back light . For the image below I hold down the shutter speed half way and then let the image focus . I then painted with the wand and clicked down all the way for the image to be shot . You can always play with the light source or you can even add multiple sources to create a more interesting image. The only problem with that is you can have your image become a little messy or overwhelming . Just adjust the way you put light around your subject. Doing all of this will create an amazing light painting image .
